Commitment to English

Student’s conviction to speak English at all times

Overbrook Academy is first and foremost a language academy specializing in improving the English proficiency of English language learners. It is absolutely necessary that the students are willing to speak English throughout the day with all of their peers and Overbrook staff.

Each week the students receive a grade for their efforts to speak English. Students who do not make an effort or are not helping their fellow students will be subject to disciplinary consequences like having detention, losing the privilege of internet use or the weekly outing. Students who maintain their commitment to speaking English at all times are rewarded with special privilages and outings throughout the school year.
