During the course of the year, the students have multiple opportunities to be recognized for their efforts in formation- academic, spiritual and personal. They may also be recognized for their commitment to speak in English. Some awards are presented monthly; some are presented quarterly; and some are presented annually at graduation.
STAR STUDENT:
The Star Student award is in recognition for a student's outstanding effort to progress in her classes and for building good study habits. This is awarded to one student each month. The student shows the greatest effort in her classes, arrives on time, maintains her school supplies in good order throughout the day, is positive in class, completes her work and participates in class.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH:
The Student of the Month is chosen from among the winners of the Star Student award. This is a student who has continued to demonstrate progress in her studies and good study habits. The student works hard to complete all her work, participates in class, manages well her time in study hall, and helps the others in class with her good example and enthusiasm.
HONOR ROLL:
The Honor Roll award is given out at the end of each quarter. It is given to every student who achieves an overall academic average of 95, with no grades below a 90.
GIRL OF THE SECTION:
The Girl of the Section is given each month to one student from each section who exhibits outstanding overall effort.
APOSTOLIC HEART:
The Apostolic Heart is given to the students who show active participation and responsibility in community service.
EFFORT AWARD:
This award goes to those girls who have significantly raised their academic average over the course of the year. They have progressed steadily in their study habits.
CONSISTENCY AWARD:
This award recognizes students who have consistently demonstrated positive work and study habits for the entire year.
DEPARTMENTAL AWARD:
Each academic department recognizes those students who have stood out with academic achievement in that subject area and who have demonstrated a passion for that subject.
CATHOLIC FORMATION AWARD:
This award goes to those students who have made a commendable effort to do well in their Catholic formation classes each quarter and have obtained a high overall average.
CONDUCT MEDAL:
This medal is given to the students who have shown outstanding effort to be coherent with what they have learned throughout the year. Conduct implies living virtues such as obedience, respect, sincerity, hard work, fidelity and responsibility. This award goes to those students from the each section who have achieved the highest overall conduct average from among their peers.
ENGLISH MEDAL:
This award goes to several girls who have achieved a high overall average in their English classes which include: language arts, writing and literature.
THE THREE D's Award:
The Three D's award recognizes students for their dedication, determination, and desire to learn.
ENGLISH CONVERSATION AWARD
The English Conversation Medal is presented to one student from each section who has demonstrated a consistent effort with her English conversation and who has demonstrated proficiency with conversation English.
SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD:
This award is presented to students who demonstrate good sportsmanship qualities while participating in afternoon activities.
APOSTOLIC AWARD:
The apostolic award is presented to students who have been identified as having an apostolic heart- always attentive to the needs of others.
SECTION AWARDS:
The girls have the opportunity to nominate someone from their own sections who has most exemplified a spirit of service, another one for charity, and the third one for leadership. These awards highlight the importance of acquiring virtue in order to make a positive difference in the world around us.
TOEFL AWARD:
The TOEFL Junior test is administered twice during the school year. The scores can range from 600 to 900 points. The students who scored a perfect score of 900 receive this award in special recognition. Also, an award is presented to students who increased their TOEFL score by 100 points or more.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD:
This award is for the students who have worked all year long to reach academic excellence and they have achieved it. Three students from each grade level receive this award. They are the students who have the three highest grade point avergaes.
INTEGRA MULIER:
The Integra Mulier award is given to a student who has learned to appreciate the integral formation she has received throughout the year. She has worked diligently in her human formation to form good habits and leadership skills to positively influence her peers. She has acquired a positive attitude and maintains this demeanor when facing challenges. She is happy to serve others in class, in the section, on school trips and during apostolic projects. She values her spiritual and intellectual formation by taking seriously the formation of her heart and mind. She is a respectful, intelligent girl who knows how to treat those around her with kindness.
