Feed 1,000

Today, twenty students, four from each section, donated their time and talent in the community to a great organization Feed 1,000. Feed 1,000 is held each December at the R.I. Convention Center in Providence, R.I. Thousands of R.I. citizens in need are invited. They all are provided with a hot, nourishing meal, warm jackets and holiday gifts all for free! Many of the recipients come from local homeless shelters or low-income housing and sadly, many of those in attendance are children. Beyond the meals and the gifts, the overarching goal of the Feed 1,000 event is to provide a day of holiday cheer in what can be a difficult season for the less fortunate in our state of Rhode Island. The girls did a great job and were so happy to help!
